What are you doing on April 19? Panhandle Breast Health wants to invite you to join us to create a bra for our Bra Talk Program! This year’s Art Bra Factory will be held on Thursday, April 19, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Amarillo Building, 3rd and Polk St. in the 7th Floor Boardroom. (Park in the lot to the east of the building. Someone will let you in. Use the north elevator to the 7th floor.)
The purpose of the Bra Talk program is to heighten awareness about breast cancer and stress the importance of breast health and early detection. It offers survivors, friends, and family a "canvas" on which to share their experiences through a creative and unique exhibit of bra art.
This year one of the exhibit locations for displaying art bras is the Cerulean Gallery on August 10, at 6:00 p.m. PBH exhibits bra collections because:
Displays of art bras offer education on breast health and cancer treatment in a unique form. High attendance at all exhibits demonstrates its value as an educational awareness tool.
The artwork is inspirational to many and seems to help the artists and viewers rethink their personal responsibility in matters of health.
Media exposure for Bra Talk, program presentations, and published calendars help raise awareness.
Published calendars put a positive, personal face on survivorship; they honor all survivors wherever these calendars are viewed.
We want to see your story! Join us on April 19 to begin your art bra adventure!
